VOTE-BY-MAIL BALLOTS
The vote-by-mail law was changed by the Republican governor and Republican lawmakers in 2021
under Senate Bill 90. Florida voters MUST NOW REQUEST a mail-in ballot every two years from the
local Supervisor of Elections Office. An easy way to remember it: VBM requests expire at the end of every even-numbered year and need to be renewed for the next election cycle.
VOTE-BY-MAIL BALLOT GUIDELINES:

CAN BE returned in person to any of the three SOE offices

CAN BE dropped at all Early Voting Locations

CAN BE voided if voter decides to vote in person during Early Voting

CAN BE voided if voter decides to vote in person at their precinct on Election Day

CANNOT be returned in person to a polling location on Election Day

CAN ONLY BE returned in person to any of the three SOE offices on Election Day

MUST BE RECEIVED by the SOE no later than 7:00pm on Election Day
