What We Stand For
Understanding the priorities of a political party helps communities stay informed, engaged, and aligned with the values that guide their local and national leaders. For members and supporters of the Trinity Democratic Club of Pasco County, Florida, these issues form the foundation of the conversations, advocacy, and outreach efforts that shape our vision for a stronger, more equitable future.
The following list highlights the key concerns that most consistently guide the Democratic Party’s agenda. Together, they reflect the principles and priorities our club works to champion within Pasco County and beyond.

The Economy and Cost of Living/Inflation
We believe in prioritizing and easing the burden of high costs - inflation, high rent/housing prices, increasingly higher prices for food, rising energy costs, and overall affordability. We stand for economic security - jobs, wages, cost-of-living - these remain central and voters are increasingly telling us that these are the issues that will influence their vote.

LGBTQIA+ and Social Equity/Civil Rights
We strive to address issues around social justice, civil rights, equity across race/ethinicity/gender, protection of LGBTQIA+ Right, and reducing system inequalities.

Gun Reform and Gun Violence Prevention
Among our top issues has been and will continue to be focused on diminishing gun violence and public safety th rough stricter gun laws, background checks, etc.

Protecting the
U.S. Constitution and Constitutional Stability
We place strong emphasis on defending the rule of law, constitutional checks and balances, and the integrity of institutions such as the Supreme Court, Congress, and the Justice Department.

Health Care Costs and Access to Health Care
We believe in prioritizing and easing the burden of high costs - inflation, high rent/housing prices, increasingly higher prices for food, rising energy costs, and overall affordability. We stand for economic security - jobs, wages, cost-of-living - these remain central and voters are increasingly telling us that these are the issues that will influence their vote.

Education, Student Debt, and Opportunity
Improving public education, making college more accessible and affordable, and alleviating student-loan burdens are key issues we continually focus upon.

Taxes, Corporate Influence and Economic Inequality
We advocate for tax fairness such as taxes on wealthy individuals and corporations, reducing corporate influence in politics, and addressing inequality.

Immigration Reform and Humane Border Policy
We advocate for a balanced approach to modernizing the immigration system, protecing Dreamrs and long-term undocumented residents, ensuring fair asylum processes and addressing root causes of migration.

Climate Change and Environmental Policy
Dealing with climate change, promoting clean energy, and addressing environmental justice remain high on the policy agenda. Environmental challenges don’t exist in isolation—they shape the well-being of every community.
We view climate threats as deeply connected to public health, economic stability, and long-term national resilience. Let's ensure that all communities—not just the most privileged—benefit from cleaner air, safer neighborhoods, and a stronger future.

Reproductive Rights and Women's Health
We believe in reproductive rights such as access to abortion and comprehensive women's health care, and granting the woman the choice to make decisions regarding her body.

Affordable Housing, Infrastructure and Basic Needs
We work hard to improve access to affordable housing, decent infrastructure like transportation, energy, and utilities, and ensuring that people can meet basic needs like housing and mobility.

National Security and Global Stability
We believe in maintaining America's security while promoting global cooperation such as strong alliances, cybersecurity protection, preventing foreign election interference, and supporting the reduction in global conflict.
